Tell us about your work environment:

I work in an IT department of about 20 people, and each team plays a very specific role in helping the business to achieve its goals. My team develops internal tools and services to support other teams around the company. The atmosphere varies between strenuous and relaxed depending on the time of year, but it is rewarding all the time.

What value has your education provided in your current employment?

If it weren't for Neumont, I would still be pursuing my bachelor's degree today with most of my high school friends. I wouldn't know anything about programming, and my technical skills would be limited to web site design with HTML. It is amazing to reflect on how much I learned in my two years at Neumont; it has been integral to my success in the workplace.

Why did you choose to attend Neumont?

I was running out of time to choose a college when I received a letter from what was then Northface University. Computer science wasn't my main interest, but it was something that I thought I could learn.  It was a giant leap of faith for me to commit to NU, but I came because I sensed something unique and revolutionary about the program. That essence was the focus on learning by application and learning by teaching, and after my first quarter I was hooked.

Do you have any favorite stories from your time at Neumont?

Most of them are you-had-to-be-there moments, but you'll surely have a lot of them…
